We are so adamant about avoiding social programming that we do not have a tv! I'm sure you don't have one either as you are so very busy with life and reading. This is an impressive article representing all the things we do not want in our lives. Otto, my 8 year old son, and I are so excited to find like thinkers. We feel isolated in the states, almost like we are different entities in our own country. But, we are planning another venture soon. We will be heading to Costa Rica and I would love to visit Peru. We will definitely avoid "Diversity."
Love your adventures!
Sabrina and Otto
Lake Tahoe

Re: Guest Post about 2012- Self-realization & Love

Nice post. If I put this on my face I will be beautiful" sort of thing. I like how you talk to Miro about how it makes you feel lacking and how to explore that feeling.

Re: Podcast Episode #31-Shipibo- At Home in the Amazon

Great podcast...comprehensive coverage of this unique culture! It is an amazing sight to see your home packed away in boxes, but also incredibly liberating. It is however difficult to find good alternatives, especially if you home-school. I will admit we had a tough time to keep a routine including time to learn...I'm sure you guys offer a great alternative and hope to follow your progress. He thinks it's cool you went to a weaponry museum. He has a question: have you seen any guinea pigs running around? We have two as pets here in Chicago, and he and his brother think it's awrsome that they run wild in Peru. Maybe not in the urban areas, though. Have a great day!

Re: Viewing The World As A Classroom… And Not The Other Way Around

Thank you so much for having us hun! As we've discussed privately, I did improv for 8 years and even ran my own improv company for a while, teaching others how to do musical improv (my specialty). Improv has so much to teach anyone-- whether travelers or otherwise– about how to live a better life, I cannot recommend taking classes enough. If you're curious, here's a sample of the improvised musical show we did last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v....
